We will gather at the beautiful site of Maria & David's wedding welcome dinner, on David's favorite beach, thanks to the generosity of our kind neighbors Johann and Anne Ackermann.
Our memorial ceremony will begin at 5:00pm followed by dinner served by Don Pedro's.
GATHERING AT CASA MARIA

We want to welcome friends and family to spend the afternoon together at the home that David bought and named Casa Maria. We will have an early Mexican dinner cooked by talented and dear Sayulita locals, Brenda and Luz, whose cooking made David so happy, and a toast to David at sunset looking out at the view that he loved.
*We will provide directions to TeiTiare & Casa Maria at the Welcome Dinner.

We have planned a day in remembrance of David to be followed by a dinner featuring some of his favorite local foods.
Our ceremony will begin at 3:00pm. Please arrive any time after 2:00pm.
David's service will be outside in the grass, as he would want it. Please dress comfortably.

Please also note that Summer brings a lot of visitors to Vashon, so the lines can be long. The last direct ferry back to the mainland (Fauntleroy) is at 10:15pm.
David loved Vashon the most on beautiful summer days and loved jumping in the pool. If the weather is warm, we welcome you (especially kids) to do the same.

In the Hindu religion of David’s beloved India, a special puja, or ceremony, takes place around the funeral pyre as the soul sheds the constraints of the body and moves toward freedom.
We received beautiful messages and photos from friends and family all over the world who joined us in holding David in vigil during this time of his cremation. We are so grateful.
